An SXW file is a document that has been created by the word processing software StarOffice Writer, initial a part of the StarOffice suite of programs which later became Apache OpenOffice.
After StarOffice, this software was also known as OpenOffice.org, before becoming Apache OpenOffice. The current manifestation of the software use ODT files in place of SXW files.
