Microsoft Money was a personal finance software application that was developed by Microsoft and was first released in October 1991. Microsoft Money is used by individuals, professionals and small business who want to effectively manage their finances. Microsoft Money can gel users to create and track account balances and budgets; track incomings and outgoings; view bank balances; and much more. Microsoft Money saw a number of releases over the years, the last of which (Microsoft Money Plus Sunset) was released in 2009. Microsoft Money was available for use on the Microsoft Windows Operating System but has since been discontinued and is no longer available for sale or for download from Microsoft.
Microsoft Money was available as a free trail download, which meant that users could download and try the software for free for a limited time and/or with a limited number of features. Microsoft Money was released in a number of different languages in a number of different countries, including Brazil, Russia, Germany and Italy, but these were quickly discontinued as they were no very popular in these countries.
